The problem was obvious from ten feet away. The original aluminum frames had corroded in the salt air, and the single-pane glass did nothing to meet current wind code. We removed the old frames down to the rough opening, corrected the shimming so the new window sat true in the opening, and installed a PGT impact unit rated for the coastal exposure. The result is a window that closes with one hand, seals the salt spray out, and does not rattle when the afternoon thunderstorms roll through.
Sliding Glass Door Track Repair, Old Port Cove
This homeowner had been lifting and yanking their sliding patio door for three years because a previous repair had never addressed the worn track. We pulled the door, discovered the rollers had ground down into the aluminum, and rebuilt the track bed before installing a new rolling assembly. Now the door moves with two fingers, and the homeowner does not have to brace their hip against the frame to get outside. If the pane is not true, the job is not done.
Custom Window Replacement for a Rotted Frame, Lake Park
The original window was not square when it was installed in the 1980s, and water had been finding its way into the frame ever since. We removed the rotted wood, rebuilt the rough opening to a true dimension, and ordered a custom Marvin window to match the opening exactly rather than stuffing the gap with shims and trim. The homeowner got a window that drains correctly, operates smoothly, and keeps the afternoon sun outside where it belongs.
Energy-Efficient Window Upgrade, Palm Beach Gardens
The single-pane aluminum windows in this 1970s rancher were turning the west-facing bedrooms into ovens every summer afternoon. The homeowner had a great view and an old, rusting picket rail blocking it. We designed and installed a frameless glass railing system that meets Palm Beach County structural requirements and keeps the sightline to the water clean. The glass is tempered, the posts are set in epoxy, and the whole assembly does not move when you lean against it. That is the standard on the first visit and the baseline for every callback.
