CWS Door Installation: The Riviera Beach Owner’s Guide

We stock CWS-compatible door parts on our trucks and install them across Riviera Beach, Singer Island, and Palm Beach Shores, with most complete door part replacements running between $185 and $460 installed, depending on the part and your door’s finish. If you can tell us the model label inside the door frame, we can usually match it over the phone and have it fixed in one visit. Most Riviera Beach owners discover their CWS part failed the same way: the door rocks in the frame during an afternoon storm, or it starts sticking in August when the humidity swells the frame, or the latch no longer lines up with the strike plate without wrestling it.

We are an independent installer and parts source, not affiliated with CWS. That matters in your favor for exactly one reason: we stock and install the parts that keep CWS doors working without pushing you toward a full replacement when a component will do.

Which CWS Models This Applies To

CWS doors sold throughout Palm Beach County fall into three rough families: the standard in-swing hinged door (the most common), the heavy sliding glass door, and the high-end custom arched models that show up in older Singer Island homes. The part you need depends entirely on which family you have, and here is the gotcha: CWS has changed hinge and roller specifications more than once over the years. A hinge sold for the 2008 production run does not always line up with the 2019 production run, even when the door dimensions are identical. If the part is not right on paper, it will not be right on the wall.

Here is how we identify the correct part without guesswork. On hinged doors, look on the hinge-side frame edge for a white or silver sticker with a manufacture date code, usually two letters followed by four digits. On sliders, the sticker lives on the top track surface, and it often rubs off after years of use. If the sticker is gone, we can still match the part by measuring the roller diameter and the edge profile, then comparing it against the CWS production runs we have on record. For OEM parts, CWS uses a proprietary roller bracket that is slightly narrower than the common aftermarket universal; we carry both on the truck and we will show you the difference before we install anything.

Signs Your CWS Door Installation Is Failing

  • Door binds at the top corner in summer. This is the classic Riviera Beach pressure-and-humidity failure. The frame has shifted out of square, or the hinge screws have loosened in the jamb. It is almost never the slab itself. The fix is re-shimming the hinge side and resetting the reveals.
  • Roller wheels drag or skip on a slider. Salt air from the inlet eats the bearings faster than inland houses realize. Once the ball bearings flatten, the wheel stops rolling and slides along the track, grinding a flat spot. The door starts to feel like it weighs two hundred pounds when it should open with two fingers.
  • Latch will not catch without lifting the handle. Time has dropped either the door or the jamb. The strike plate needs to move, or the door needs a minor hinge adjustment. Covers-up, like filing the strike, buy you three months. Done right, the fix is a quick re-set that lasts.
  • You can see daylight or feel air moving around the weatherstrip. In Riviera Beach, this is not just a comfort issue. A door that leaks air in July leaks water in September. The seal has compressed, torn, or the sill sweep has stiffened and cracked in the sun.
  • The door closes partway then stops dead. On hinged doors, this means the hinge screws have worked loose and the slab is sagging into the frame. On sliders, it is usually a blocked or misaligned roller that has jammed against the track end.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

In Riviera Beach, expect to pay between $185 and $460 for a CWS door part replacement, installed, depending on the component. Here is what that looks like line by line:

  • Hinges, matched set with adjustment: $185-$260
  • Roller assemblies, both panels and track re-alignment: $220-$340
  • Weatherstrip and sill sweep, full perimeter: $165-$250
  • Strike plate, latch, and deadbolt alignment: $185-$285
  • Custom CWS hinge or roller for arched or oversized doors: $285-$460

Every quote is written, line-itemed, and covers the part, the labor, and the adjustment after install. There are no change orders and no surprise line items on the bill. Both the part warranty and our workmanship warranty are registered in writing before the truck leaves your driveway, under the same standard we apply to every install: 90 days, done right, no paperwork fights. Seniors and veterans receive a permanent 5% discount on every job, including parts.

DIY or Call Us?

You can clean the bottom track of a CWS slider yourself. Do that: a shop vacuum, a rag, and a $6 nylon brush will do more than most people expect. You can also take a 3/16-inch hex key to your hinge screws and confirm whether they are snug. We would rather you do that before paying us so we can both see whether the real problem is just a loose screw or a shifted frame. What we would not hand a homeowner is a spring-tensioned pivot door or a heavy slider panel off its rollers. Those panels weigh over a hundred pounds, and a roller swap without the right support block puts a shoulder or a wall in the way. If the panel needs to come out, call (786) 829-6722. We will be there when we say, and the first visit is the fix visit.
